Studying a Politics and Sociology degree left Paul with a decision of what he wanted to do when he finished my university (he didn’t want to get into politics or become a sociologist). Paul then started to think about what he is passionate about and one main thing stood out - building relationships. This led to him beginning his career in recruitment, where there is nothing Paul loves more than developing relationships with clients, getting a job brief and then heading into the market to speak with numerous potential candidates.
Away from work, Paul loves spending time with his wife and two young children, who definitely keep them both busy.
I started my recruitment journey with MERJE as a resourcer. The amount that I’ve been able to develop my knowledge in my own specialist sector is down to both the business and directors giving me the freedom and support to establish the network I’ve been able to create. The directors have created a work hard, play hard environment and I honestly love coming into the office every day.
Paul loves hitting the gym to keep the ‘Dad bod’ away, playing football (when my Plantar fasciitis allows it) and supporting Manchester United.
Paul loathes any form of cooking and deciding what clothes to buy (he’s very indecisive).
