Our client is a leading well regarded fraud business who are currently recruiting for a Claims Handler. The role is responsible for handling and settling claims made to the business promptly and fairly and delivering a positive customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To process work chronologically and/or in order of priority, and to help out other claims handlers to ensure that this is achieved when necessary
  • To deal with all aspects of claims handling including letter writing, telephone contact, diary management, valuation, negotiation and settlement of the following types of claim / loss
  • To act as a key referral point to less experienced claims staff
  • To keep up to date with the business’ good claims practice and champion this throughout the team
  • To act within set handling authorities as defined by the Claims Authorities Matrix
  • Deliver a positive customer experience by communicating with our stakeholders in a helpful, proactive and professional manner

Key Requirements-        

  • A good understanding of motor insurance and claims principles in general
  • Minimum QCF Level 4, which equates to: Certificates of Higher Education, CII Level 4 Diploma, NVQ Level 4
  • Ability to use the AS400 or similar products as well as Microsoft based products
