Experienced senior legal counsel required to join an in-house legal team to provide strategic direction as well as general commercial legal advice. The role is a 12-month fixed term contract, and will be based out of the firms UK head office in Manchester. Hybrid working is available with 1 - 2 officer days per week required.

Responsibilities:
Manage and lead the legal team (In-House Legal Counsel and Paralegal), ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Provide legal advice and guidance.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including customers, regulators, and other legal professionals.
Oversee management of legal cases and ensure timely and effective resolution.
Provide training to the wider business.
Applicant requirements
You will be a qualified solicitor and have significant post qualification experience.
Strong commercial acumen.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Proven experience managing a legal team and providing strategic direction.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
