Prudential Risk Manager – Retail Banking | Cambridgeshire

Job Description: Ensure that the firm is managing its prudential risks. Manage the Risk team and responsibility for the management of all elements of review of prudential risk management, including credit risk, interest rate risk, basis risk, operational risk and enterprise wide risk management.

The role-

Second line of defence expert in Treasury/ ALM issues
Own the risk management framework and risk reporting to Board, including RCSA process and control testing, risk events and action tracking
Lead Society understanding of the risks posed by climate change
Chair the Financial Reporting Committee
Manage the Prudential Risk Team
Second line defence reviews of ICAAP/ ILAAP/ Corporate Plan
Owner of Recovery Plan and Pillar 3
Owner of the model governance policy and framework
Second line of defence regulatory reporting reviews
Own stress testing framework, including annual scenario meeting
Undertake horizon scanning and detailed merging risk assessments on prudential risk matters
Lead annual updates of risk appetite, including liaising with risk owners and drafting Board papers
Draft clear, accurate, understandable papers for Executives, Risk Committee and Board
Second line of defence on mortgage pricing model

Educated to degree level, or equivalent relevant experience
Financial Risk Management Qualification an advantage

Extensive prudential risk experience, in a retail environment
Experience of ICAAP/ ILAAP/ Recovery Plan
Expertise in Capital/Treasury/ ALM risk management
