Your future team is looking for a credit risk specialist to help grow an already booming business. You’ll work in close collaboration with numerous teams across the organisation as well as mentoring and developing junior members of the team by sharing your exceptional knowledge.

Role responsibilities:

  • Combining my understanding of IFRS9 provisioning/models and products to develop models, key judgements and tools to forecast bad debt performance under varying economic conditions.

  • Collaborating positively and constructively with a broad group of stakeholders to bring my specialist expertise and insight to support the delivery of the banks business plan.

  • Providing expert consultancy support, where needed, across the wider risk management team - Syndicating and achieving buy-in for the forecast with a range of stakeholders.

  • Planning and organising my workload to ensure that tasks are completed within agreed timescales, taking account of any dependencies on others. Where agreed timescales cannot be met I will inform my line manager in good time to allow management of impacts.

  • Ensuring compliance with business risk controls procedures that apply to me and proactively seeking opportunities to improve key processes.

  • Agreeing a personal development plan with my line manager and completing the activities agreed to allow me to improve my skills and capability.

About you:

  • At least 4 years’ experience within a credit risk function or similar analytical function in financial services.

  • Experience with SAS or other statistical package.

  • Experience with IFRS9 provisioning or models.

  • Highly numerate evidenced by honours degree in relevant subject.
