​Overview

Financial services business is looking to expand their Risk & Compliance team with the addition of a Compliance Monitoring Analyst. Reporting to the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer, the role holder will design and deliver a second line assurance programme and provide independent reporting and assurance to key stakeholders.

The business operates a fully flexible working week with full remote working an option. Its expected office travel will be 1 day per month.

Responsibilities

•Delivering second line assurance activity in line with agreed plan, including thematic reviews and control testing against first line Risk and Control Self-Assessments

•Undertaking regular reviews of first line activity, for example, call monitoring and file checking, contributing to the ongoing development of these areas

•Undertake regular reviews of the Company’s appointed representatives

•Providing clear, concise and consistent advice and guidance to the business and collaborating with stakeholders to ensure the most appropriate actions are agreed to address any weaknesses identified

•Producing reports on the outcomes of second line assurance activity, including recommended actions to address any weaknesses identified as part of that activity

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

•Experience working within risk and/or compliance, alongside experience undertaking assurance reviews.

•Ability to manage and prioritise own workload with multiple tasks simultaneously

•Ability to think critically in order to analyse problems and develop effective and practical solutions, under own initiative or as part of team.

•Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, the ability to deal with conflict and influence across all levels.
