​Our client is an innovative financial services business that are looking for an experience risk professional to join the business on a contractual basis to assist the Head of Risk with Operational Risk duties. You will help create risk-related policies and provide subject matter expertise to the business in a second-line capacity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Head of Risk in refreshing the Risk Appetite statements for the principal risk categories and assist with assessment and selection of a GRC tool.

• Create new or revised risk policies and procedures in partnership with other subject matter experts, in both a practical and advisory capacity.

• Identify and evaluate the available MI for incorporating into a revised Risk Appetite reporting pack.

• Provide occasional support in delivering BAU risk management activities and to the development of risk reporting.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years working in an FCA regulated risk & compliance function & ideally educated to degree level or holding relevant risk qualifications.

• Strong policy writing capabilities and knowledge of risk management frameworks as well as experience building and embedding risk reporting.

• Diligent approach with a high degree of intensity and able to take personal responsibility for workflow.
