An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Interim Senior Group Financial Reporting Manager to join our Clients Finance team on a contract basis. The role holder will provide role coverage for key member of the Group Finance team and will work closely with the Group Director of Financial Control and Reporting.  The successful individual will need to be and experienced and competent Finance professional able to provide a good level of consolidation accounting expertise, as well as help the team to continue to improve the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of all external reporting done by the finance team, in addition to month end reporting across the Group and into the Board.

What will you be doing?

Preparation of the Group quarterly press release for bond holders including liaising with contributing stakeholders, the director of FP&A, CFO and board members and verification of all the numbers and statements in the two announcement documents

Project management and production of the annual Group financial statements, including timetable management, liaising across business functions for input into the front end, liaising with finance team for note production and verification of data and statements

Key point of contact with the auditors, managing the prepared by client request process

Review of Group overarching journals and controls

Managing the month-end and quarterly timetables for quality, timely and effectiveness of month end reporting from the UK and global platforms through to hand over to FP&A

Managing and developing a team of two.

Reporting to the audit and risk committee on the year end planning process, and progress

Managing the external auditor management letter points across the Group, including comment receipt and timing

Dealing with ad-hoc queries from other finance team members across the Group

Improving the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of month end reporting into the business and controls and processes at the Group reporting team level where areas of improvement are identified

Required skills and experience:

Educated to degree level

ACA/ACCA qualified

Experience of IFRS cross currency consolidations

Experience of managing colleagues

Proficient in MS Excel and MS Word

Knowledge of financial reporting systems such as Cognos and Anaplan

Excellent planning, organisation and time management skills

Strong communication skills, verbal and written.

Good relationship builder  and stakeholder management skills

Strong analytical experience and good ability to understand and problem solve issues, following them through to resolution

Proven team player and an autonomous worker

Background in banking/other FS
