​To ensure that all necessary documentation is received and thoroughly checked before payments can be authorised.

Job Role

1. Underwrite new business using company guidelines in making decisions on accepting or declining new claims.

2. Be comfortable in running company reports, knowing personal and departmental targets.

3. Review new and supplementary engineer’s reports to ensure, we have the correct vehicle details for the claim, damage to our client’s vehicle is consistent with the accident circs provided. Ensure all agreed costs from the engineer’s reports are transferred to the financial screen on Rana.

4. Carryout due-diligence on potential new body shops using credit safe, google maps and VAT checker, etc. to enable the business to create a risk profile of potential new bodyshops and adhere to the companies’ guidelines.

5. Pay-out pending calls, chasing bodyshops for outstanding invoices which are ready to be funded.

6. To ensure that all deals are paid out in accordance with company policies.

7. To use experience and common sense to query anomalies and check details for the warning signs of fraud, alerting the department manager in a timely manner.

8. Build relationships with business stakeholders, including bodyshops and engineers by providing excellent levels of customer service, maintaining a friendly but professional manner.

9. To support team members and assist in other areas of the business as fluctuations in business needs require.

10. To maintain up to date knowledge of the Company’s products and continuously seek to develop your skills and knowledge, taking part in training provided by the Company. All tasks must be completed adhering to the company values.

11. To pay due care and attention to your own and others’ health and safety at all times.

Daily interaction by telephone, email, letter with customers, insurers, solicitors, repairers and engineers.
