MERJE are partnered with a leading Insurance organisation in their search for an Interim Finance Project Manager. This role is largely remote based however you must be able to travel 1x per week / 1x bi-weekly to offices in Birmingham
This is an incredible opportunity to join the Group where you will manage the external audit relationship. Joining the Technical and Oversight team, in their Financial Reporting Centre. This is a time of significant change within Financial Reporting which creates challenges and opportunities for the future.
Key Responsibilities
Contributing to administration of relationship with external auditors across multiple companies and locations.
Ensuring audit deliverables are agreed and tracking the status of the audit throughout reporting periods.
Proactively engage with colleagues across multiple sites to ensure audit progress is maintained, following up on and resolving potential issuers or blockers.
Supporting the influence of internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of audit process.
Building and leveraging key relationships around the business.
Working with the Finance Business Planning and wider Finance teams to ensure a successful audit process
What are we looking for?
Essential
Highly organised, with ability to track and deliver on multiple priorities
Able to communicate confidently, asserting influence at all levels both internally and externally
Pro-active approach and ability to drive progress on multiple issues simultaneously
Ability to establish good working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
Experience of working within a complex finance environment
Desirable
Insurance or financial services industry experience
Experience in dealing with external auditors
