A Financial Crime Manager is required for an award-winning UK retail-focused financial services firm, which has been successful for over 100 years.

The Financial Crime Manager will join a very collaborative and supportive team. The firm values its staff, and the people there are helpful, knowledgeable and approachable.

As a Financial Crime Manager, you will be responsible for the financial crime risk management framework, making sure the correct policies, procedures, controls, monitoring, reporting, and governance are in place for the organisation.

 

Responsibilities of the Financial Crime Manager include:

  • Lead and assist the MLRO in the organisational plan to mitigating and disrupting exposure to financial crime risks and fraud. This may include refining existing processes and procedures, system integration and governance reporting, including:

    • AML/Fraud Procedures, systems and controls: providing input and validation

    • Supporting the training materials for employees regarding AML/Fraud

    • Keeping up to date with AML/Fraud related regulatory changes and ensuring they are implemented to stay compliant

    • Conduct risk assessments to assess and report control strengths and weakness in respect of all financial crime risks

    • Assisting in dealing with regulatory/partner inquiries on AML/Fraud

  • Engage with First line key stakeholders to advise and provide input on design of systems, controls and risks pertaining to AML/Fraud transaction monitoring, investigations and reporting

  • Assisting senior management with defining group standards and organisational objectives to manage AML/fraud transaction monitoring, investigations and reporting processes, making sure that standards are applied for all existing and new products

  • Provide SME input to business MI reporting to governance committees, including root cause analysis & corrective action recommendations

  • Operational management of the company’s financial crime staff supporting internal and customer facing processes, providing advice to supporting teams and conducting oversight of financial crime impacting activities (CDD/EDD/KYC/AML/Fraud)

  • Dealing with escalations from Frist line, providing practical advice on required actions and taking responsibility for complex investigations

  • Acting as a key stakeholder to ensure financial crime matters are investigated and co-ordinated in line with financial crime policy, response plan and wider company policy standards, such as HR/Operations/IT/Finance 

  • Show accountability and ownership for offering solutions to benefit our customers and the business

  • Engagement with law enforcement and industry bodies to identify and manage emerging risks and regulatory changes

The role is based in South West London and offers a Hybrid working pattern, with three days in the office. They are which is a 5-minute walk from an overground station, and they offer car parking for individuals who prefer to drive.
