​MERJE are partnered with a fast growing and acquisitive Vehicle Solutions organisation that are looking for a talented Finance Business Partner to join their Commercial Finance team.

You will be joining the Vehicle Solutions division is in the early stages of its journey, but it’s already a core part of the business; offering a range of flexible vehicle services tailored to meet the requirements of our ever-growing customer base. Following an acquisition in 2021, and a further acquisition in 2022, our Vehicle Solutions division have their sights set on achieving significant growth over the next 12-18 months.

Based in the Crewe Head Office 3 days per week with flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.

Your new role:

The role of Commercial Analyst / Finance Business Partner is a really important one. You will be responsible for providing financial, commercial and analytical support across all areas of the Vehicle Solutions division, including the development of performance reporting, designed to provide key stakeholders with appropriate insight to make informed business decisions

Responsibilities:

• Delivery of regular reporting to agreed timescales

• Development of existing reporting and KPI suite to assist the management team with decision making

• Perform ad-hoc analysis to help us better understand business performance, highlighting areas of risk and opportunity

• Assist with preparation of monthly trading packs and consolidation of month end results

• Assist with the budgeting processes

• Help to cleanse data at the source to ensure one version of the truth in our reported numbers

• Develop relationships with key business stakeholders and deliver commercial insight into results to enable these stakeholders to better understand and improve performance.

• Proactively engage with senior management on ad hoc projects

• Assist with acquisition integration, helping our new businesses become part of the group

Our Ideal candidate:

• Qualified/Part Qualified/QBE CIMA, ACCA or ACA accountant

• Minimum 3 years’ experience of working in a Finance/Commercial related role

• Advanced Excel skills – experience of building and maintaining detailed reports is advantageous

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Curious, data-driven thinker

• Experience of interacting across all levels of the organisation including dealing with non-finance people to gather relevant information

• Personable, approachable, and dynamic, reliable worker

• Ability to work to strict deadlines, operating with a continuous improvement attitude
