Our client is a well known and large Financial Services business who have a strong record of success. 

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join the firm on a 12 month contract basis. 

This role will assist the day to day management and support of the firms SMCR and material risk taker populations, alongside project delivery. A key project that this role will support is the implementation of the new Consumer Duty regulation, focusing on employees. You will help to create and provide analysis and insight, as well as help collaborators understand their obligations.

What you'll be doing:

  • Working with the People Regulatory team to ensure the timely completion of Fitness and Propriety assessments for SMCR role holders and UK employees subject to the CBoI Fitness and probity regime.

  • Assessing new roles, road blocks and sign offs across the SMCR and Material Risk Taker employee populations.

  • Providing support to the Consumer Duty Workstream, including data analysis and the creation of internal reporting dashboards, as required.

  • Crafting and assessing key systems and controls for demonstrating compliance with applicable regulations based on own knowledge and experience.

  • Investigating indicators to demonstrate that reward and performance management approaches are driving the right customer outcomes and ongoing monitoring.

  • Providing subject matter expertise on regulatory issues across all employment life cycle stages, acting as a central support point to the People team.

Who we're looking for:

  • A solid understanding of the FCA / PRA handbooks and ability to understand, interpret and communicate sophisticated regulation to a range of audiences would be an advantage.

  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise work appropriately and understand when to call out issues is crucial.

  • Highly numerate & analytical and able to distil sophisticated information into clear and understandable summaries.

  • Can expertly build and present important data visualisations in Excel, and ideally a dashboarding platform such as Power BI.

  • Strong organisational, time management and customer engagement skills

  • Excellent communication skills - able to articulate ideas and requirements clearly and concisely to senior team members.

  • Experience of working on regulatory change projects in a supporting or delivery role.

Flexible Working

2 days per week required in any of the following offices; Cardiff, Bristol or Cirencester.
