Senior Operations Manager

If you are a dynamic leader with proven experience in a leadership role, preferably overseeing operations within the energy retail sector or a regulated industry, this company wants to hear from you. My client is looking for a Senior Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimising operational activities within the UK market. The role requires ensuring value protection, compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction across the business-to-business portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to drive efficiency, improve and harmonize processes and optimize resource allocation.

  • Monitor, develop and analyze key performance indicators to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

  • Promote objectives and key results to drive continuous improvement.

  • Own the relationship with third-party vendors and suppliers.

  • Provide coaching and guidance to the Operations Management team to enhance their leadership skills and performance.

  • Develop and implement talent initiatives to promote individual development and growth and identify future leaders within UK operations.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and best practice in energy retail operations.

  • Own the submission of industry data submissions.

  • Own the budget for UK Operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably overseeing operations within the energy retail sector or a regulated industry.

  • Demonstrated track record of driving operational efficiency, process improvement and organisational change.

  • Excellent people skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.

  • Analytical and structured mindset with the ability to leverage data and insight to inform decision-making and drive results.

  • Experience in collaborating and influencing effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment and adapt to evolving business needs.

  • A degree level education or relative experience (desirable).
