Our client is an independent market leading provider of Telecoms and IT Solutions. An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experience legal professional to join the firm on a 6 month fixed term contract in the role of Senior Legal Counsel. In this senior leadership role you will provide pragmatic and solutions focused advice to the business. Using your commercial acumen to help the business operate at its optimum potential.



  • Support on legal matters affecting the company and its business activities, including assisting the business in ensuring the setting up and adherence to all applicable legal and regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures
  • Providing accurate, relevant and timely advice to senior stakeholders and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics
  • Support with the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial contracts and agreements
  • Managing and mitigating legal risks by designing and implementing company policies and procedures
  • Horizon scanning of new legal and regulatory developments and maintaining oversight of developments impacting the business
  • Proactively identify situations that may pose significant legal risk and guide management in the development / reviewing / updating of relevant policies, procedures and business practices
  • Support to the firm with launch of new products to ensure legal requirements are met
  • Staying up-to-date with changes to legislation, particularly in relation to laws, rules and regulations that directly affect the business

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • A qualified lawyer with a minimum of 5+ years' experience in a legal role (all sector experience will be considered).
  • A 'hands-on' approach to include reviewing and negotiating contracts and other legal documents to protect the organisations interests.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
  • Customer-focused.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic/business plans.
