A new vacancy has arisen for an experienced Procurement Category manager to join a large Retail organisation and manage the marketing category. This role will be based in the Leeds head office for 2/3 days a week, and working from home for the other days however due to COVID, the role is currently working from home full time.
Ideally you will have experience of the marketing category but this isn’t essential, we are happy to consider candidates with a broad range of indirect procurement experience as this position will also have involvement with the corporate services category. You will develop strategic category plans and will be responsible for the full end to end procurement process.
This role will be responsible for full stakeholder management and will lead commercial negotiations where appropriate. You will join an existing team of 4 and will report into the Senior Buying manager.
You will be highly commercial with the ability to identify opportunities to cut costs without compromising quality. Attention to detail is required for this role and you will interact with other areas of spend regularly.
