Operational Risk Manager required for an exceptional investment bank based in London.

You will be an experienced Operational Risk Manager from an investment banking background who will be involved in the following: 

​

  • Investigate Operational incidents, agree on improvements with the business, and ensure the appropriate escalation of risk

  • Review and update the Risk Register

  • Conduct Risk and Control Self Assessments, follow up on issues raised and ensure the integrity of data and reports

  • Insure Risk documents are up-to-date

  • Drive the agenda for the Operational  Risk Committee, improve effectiveness and governance, and act as alternate chair for the Operational Risk Committee

  • Responsibility for Operational Resilience Risk Mapping across the firm

  • Assist in the compilation of Business Continuity documentation

  • Responsible for collating discussion points and papers for the Operational Risk Committee and follow-up on any actions decided

  • Produce regular board papers: Share responsibility for the production of risk management information and submission of the Operational Risk Updates and Dashboards to the board

  • Take responsibility for tracking Internal Audit recommendations

  • Identify legal and regulatory risks, including conduct risk and escalates to the General Counsel and senior management accordingly

The Operational Risk Manager has a remit of four key areas: Operational risk, Operational Resilience and Business Continuity, Regulatory Risk and Reporting. The work is diverse and extremely interesting.
