​MERJE are working with a leading Asset Management and banking organization who are looking for an Operational Risk Manager to join their reputable and growing team. The role works closely with C-suite helping to oversee Risk Management.

Responsibilities:

• Support the Board in articulating their Risk Appetite across all risk categories, and the CRO in embedding the Appetite across the group.

• Maintaining the framework in line with Group and market best practice

• Facilitating workshops with Risk Owners and Risk SME's to design KRI's

• Maintain the Key and Emerging Risk register by horizon scanning the Risk environment

• Help management design appropriate KRI's including calibration and back testing

• Track the status of any agreed remediation actions

• Own and maintain the Operational Risk Management policy

• Maintain the firm's Operational Risk management toolset, ensuring they're complete and accurate

• Ensure operational risks are identified, quantified, remediated and escalated in a timely manner

• Manage the Operational Risk Scenario testing programme: Facilitate deep dives/scenario analysis across the business to identify potential operational risk issues and ensure a robust control environment

• Challenge the control environment for improvements to existing risks and controls

Requirements:

• Strong experience in Operational Risk or Enterprise Risk Management

• Experience of working within the 1st line of defence

• Understanding of the Asset Management/banking background

• Degree level education
