​Our client is seeking a Lead Paralegal to join the Real Estate team in Glasgow acting for landowners, occupiers, developers, funders, contractors and professionals across the sector as well as landlords and tenants within the institutional, telecoms, corporate, retail and public sectors – including education and local government.

You will assist with all aspects of real estate legal issues, including high-value acquisitions and disposals, portfolio management, development (including regeneration projects) and the creation and treatment of all kinds of investments.

The Paralegals we are looking to recruit will act as an extension to the fee earning team providing a high standard of service delivery to both internal and external clients.

The Role:

You will work with a fast growing client portfolio including leading global equity providers. The partnerships with these clients generate plenty of high value real estate work and also offer an excellent opportunity for our Paralegals to further develop their real estate experience and respective careers. The work will mainly involve commercial landlord and tenant law in the context of telecommunications mast sites including site acquisitions, upgrades, renewals, and general estates matters.

Your Responsibilities:

• Legal support work to the Real Estate and Real Estate Litigation team in all matters and ensuring matters are progressing as efficiently and accurately as possible.

• Preparing weekly update reports for clients and dealing with clients on a regular basis to provide updates or obtain information.

• Under supervision, run own transactional files from initiation to completion.

• Dealing with access agreements, registrations, wayleaves, lease renewals etc.

• Drafting legal documents and standard forms.

• Administrative tasks such as performing Land Registry searches, obtaining documents from our clients' portals.

• Legal research

• Asset management

• Proof reading

About You:

Ideal have gained strong academics at minimum degree level

Demonstrable commercial property experience from a similar commercial law firm environment.

Ability to work as part of a team

Confident working under own initiative

You will have an innovative and proactive mind-set, strong organisational / time management skills and a passion for improving service levels.
