MERJE are supporting a General Insurance client with their hire of a Head of Capital, on an initial 12 month contract.

This opportunity will require someone to manage a small team of junior Actuaries whilst leading the Capital function. You will report directly in to the Chief Actuary and be responsible for the technical modelling as well as the Capital strategy that is co-ordinated in line with the Finance and Reserving functions.

We're looking at candidates who would consider a Fixed Term Contract or a day rate (inside IR35). This is predominately a home based role with very occasional time in the office.

​

•Qualified Actuary (FIA/FFA)

•General Insurance experience within a Capital function - ideally Personal Lines but London and Commercial market also of interest

•Remetrica, (or Igloo/Tyche) knowledge is required

•Worked as a lead Actuary within the Capital remit.

•Ability to train and develop junior Actuaries/analysts
