MERJE are working with a multinational energy and solutions company who are looking for a Financial Accountant.
Key accountabilities as a Financial Accountant:
Responsible for the UK&I Operations and Maintenance (O&M) P&L, cash flow, balance sheet, consolidation and reporting of financial data for the in the local JDE Ledgers and SAP
Accountable for all transactional accounting & reporting of current/historical activity across UK&I Services O&M including coordination and performance of all of month end and post-month end accounting activities
Month end accountability, to include journal posting, PO accruals, provisions, invoicing, capex accounting, commentary on monthly performance and query resolution
Carrying out balance sheet reviews and reconciliations across the Services business, pro-actively identifying and communicating risks and opportunities upwards
Pro-actively identify improvements to our processes and opportunities for simplification, standardisation, automation and integration of financial systems. Drive towards automated and enhanced reporting, leveraging Office365 tools (e.g. Power Query, Power BI)
Pro-actively identify opportunities to offshore transactional processes. Drafting of Standard Operating Procedures and transition of work to our off-shore providers
Support finance system upgrade and ERP implementation and data migration as part of the CBS systems strategy
Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the business and Finance
Act as part of the first line of defence in the identification and management of risks
Undertake bespoke reporting and analysis as required
Requirements as a Financial Accountant:
Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or similar)
3 years+ qualified experience of financial accounting
location - Windsor or Stockport.
