Decision Systems Analyst- Manchester (Hybrid)- £40K-£50K
An exciting opportunity has a come up in Manchester for a Decision Systems Analyst. This role sits within the Credit Risk team, supporting the development of the lending strategy to drive long-term, sustainable profit from the organisations Financial Services offering. You would work alongside colleagues across the Credit Risk lifecycle, as well as from Digital Operations, Financial Services Product and Compliance.
In this role you would be responsible for changes within the credit risk decision engine across the customer lifecycle, undertaking impact analysis and development of monitoring. This will include the planning and user acceptance testing for implementation of a new risk decision engine as part of their Financial Services transformation. This transformation will unlock growth into new financial services products and is an exciting project to be a part of.
The role is ideally suited to an experienced credit risk analyst who enjoys working with decisioning platforms and wants to join a growing organisation.
What you'll do (Responsibilities and Accountabilities):
Responsible for undertaking complex ad-hoc analysis using advanced SQL & SAS coding, providing conclusions and recommendations to support the Credit Risk team
Responsible for planning and implementing strategy changes within the credit risk decision engine
Responsible for UAT of changes made across the credit account lifecycle
Responsible for documentation of changes and testing to satisfy controls
Representing the Credit Risk team across cross-functional projects
Responsible for the development of monitoring of strategy changes to understand customer and commercial outcomes. To include investigation of any deviation from expected results
Develop key stakeholder relationships across the business to include DT, and Compliance.
Who you are (Job qualifications and key skills):
Essential
Highly analytical with strong technical skills
Degree level educated, ideally in a numerate discipline
Self-Motivated and reliable
Strong communication skills
Accurate with a high attention to detail
Logical thinker
Ability to present technical changes in non-technical language
SAS and/or SQL skills are essential
Use of Microsoft excel, including lookups, pivots and charts
Proven experience of configuring specialist Credit Risk decisioning systems
Desirable
Previous experience of making changes Provenir or GDS Link
Previous experience of undertaking Credit Risk user acceptance testing
