IR35 tax changes delayed to 2021

The government has announced a delay to the implementation of the IR35 tax changes until 6th April 2021.

Originally due to be rolled out next month, the tax changes aimed at Contractors in the private sector have been postponed by 12 months due to the impact on UK businesses of the COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak.

Businesses have been somewhat hesitant to introduce contract or interim resources due to the potential new tax implications. However with this delay to the IR35 tax changes, employers now have an opportunity to introduce talented Contractors to their workforce without questions around their tax status, and many will find the flexibility of a Contractor highly welcome during current uncertainties for businesses.
