Last Thursday, the MERJE gang ventured to Carden Park in Cheshire for a celebratory day of activities, bonding and plenty of food and drink.
The team from the London office took the initiative of heading there the night before and grabbing a relaxing sleep in the hotel, whereas the Manchester team got up bright and early to head to the resort in the morning. Once everyone was assembled and breakfast consumed, it was time for fun and frolics featuring off-road quad biking and segways, a treetop ropes course, footgolf and massages and spa treatments.
The weather was stunning, with the sunshine and fresh air helping make the off-the-beaten-track adventures that took place into a great day out for MERJE.
While some may have not taken to the activities as well as they had hoped (with Tom’s slower approach to quad biking allegedly causing delays down the M6), everyone had a fun day of new experiences and bonding.
And the day finished with a three-course meal and a few drinks before the London team took their train home and the Manchester team piled into their cabs, tired but buzzing from a fantastic Summer Social.
Now one question remains: how will it be bettered at next summer’s big day out?
