My client are a highly successful and well know Financial Services organisation.

The opportunity has arisen to join the firm in the role of Compliance Monitoring Officer

Responsibilities:

You will be required to support the timely delivery and execution of the agreed assurance reviews in line with the Combined Assurance methodology. You will also assist with the delivery of reviews or any part thereof depending on the size of the review. This may include the development and execution of testing plans, documenting issues and, where required, create accurate reports regarding the review scope, findings and root cause.

  • Assist in the planning and scoping of agreed assurance reviews in line with the Assurance Monitoring Methodology.
  • Specifically developing the detailed testing plans for reviews for approval.
  • Assist with the delivery of reviews or any part thereof depending on the size of the review. Specifically, lead sections of the delivery of the testing to support the overall review execution to quality and on time.
  • Accurately documenting any findings identified in testing with robust evidence that justify outcomes. Documenting all matters in line with the Combined Assurance Methodology to support the creation and documentation of evidence-based issues identified for inclusion in the final report.
  • Monitor and track the progress of issue closure following any review and ensure that up to date and accurate issue and action status are recorded. When appropriate, validate the evidence and gain the necessary approval, to close any issues and actions to ensure that they are sustainably addressed.
  • As required, provide accurate and up to date management information and support reporting to relevant committees, including the identification of trends, through analysis of MI or any systemic issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including business stakeholders, second-and third-line colleagues, including Internal Audit.
  • Undertake other assurance related activities as directed by management.
  • Actively support the development of the Combined Assurance team as the business continues to evolve.
  • Promote a robust risk culture across the business.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and ensure personal knowledge remains up to date

Requirements:

To succeed in this role you will have experience of carring out a Compliance Monitoring / Assurance role, ideally in a 2nd line of defence role (1st or 3rd line will certainly be considered).
