Shift Pattern Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

Overall Job Purpose

The Training officer is to equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to carry out work-related tasks within the business. Help with the on-going, long-term development of employees' skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential within the organisation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Helping line managers, Learning & Development Business Partners and other trainers solve specific training issues, either on a one-to-one basis or in groups

• Deliver training interventions (including inductions) that satisfies all relevant departments in the business.

• Record training delivered

• Act as a subject matter expert for learning

• Ensure that all regulatory training requirements are met in the department

• Evaluate training and development interventions, amending and revising programmes as necessary, to adapt to changes in processes and the work environment

• To communicate with the relevant department managers/agents to highlight issues that may have a detrimental effect on the quality of service provided or affect the businesses reputation.

Essential Skills

• Experience of working within the motor vehicle insurance industry

• Experience of working within Learning & Development from 0 – 2 years

• Clear and professional communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)

• Experience of working within a contact centre environment

• Experience of delivering training through in a variety of situations i.e. coaching, buddying, facilitation

• Good I.T skills and familiar with PowerPoint and Teams

• Be able to engage and coach individuals on a 121 basis and provide coaching in a manner that will empower the individual to understand the decision-making process

• A good communicator, able to provide constructive written and verbal feedback
