Role Purpose

To ensure the effective and efficient operationalisation of the Vendor Management and third party frameworks and ensure policies and associated procedures are understood across the business.

 

The role holder will be the champion for good third party governance across and be seen as the key SME for third party management, whilst understanding business areas’ use of third parties and IntraGroup services and the impact of the Vendor Management and IntraGroup frameworks on the business. 

Responsibilities:

·         Lead & manage specialist teams to ensure third party arrangements are assessed, on-boarded, managed and exited in line with agreed procedures

·         Implement required vendor governance standards, ensuring a robust risk-based quality assessment oversight framework is in place and reported on

·         Regular reporting on approved Key Performance Indicators and Key Risk Indicators

·         Recommend continuous improvement of vendor management policies and procedures, taking into account feedback from the business

·         Efficient use and administration of any Third Party Management Systems

·         Monitor and report on vendor performance to include types of breaches, corrective action steps taken and communication with the Relationship Owners

·         Horizon scanning for potential risks and taking appropriate action

·         Formulate required corrective action plans for identified business gaps and process gaps

·         Close liaison with the Vendor Management Senior Quality Control Analyst and Quality Assurance to ensure high quality of vendor management operations

·         Be seen as a risk champion for Vendor Management to support with regulatory horizon awareness and impact assessments of any changes required to ensure the Group’s Vendor Policy is compliant 

Experience Required:

·         Experience in a Vendor Management / Third Party Management role is essential

·         Experience in a Financial Services organisation is desirable

·         Knowledge in the interpretation of regulatory guidelines and requirements relating to outsourcing and third party risk management

·         Specialist knowledge of third party management processes and operating frameworks

·         Ability to design and implement robust processes and frameworks to meet Vendor Management and Intragroup policy requirements

·         Proven track record of managing and developing staff is essential
