MERJE is seeking a dedicated Third Party Claims Handler for a leading insurance and technology organisation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team, managing third-party claims and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for problem-solving.

Salary: £24,000 per annum

Location: Salford Quays, Manchester - Hybrid working (4 days from home, 1 day in office after probation)

The Role

As a Third Party Claims Handler, you'll be the first point of contact for third-party claimants, managing claims efficiently while minimising costs. This role offers excellent progression opportunities within a growing business, with a 37.5-hour work week and flexible shift patterns.

Key Responsibilities of the Third Party Claims Handler:

  • Proactively contacting and converting third-party referrals

  • Managing hire periods, repair costs, and claim reserves

  • Liaising with other claims departments to resolve issues efficiently

  • Identifying potential fraudulent claims and referring to the Counter Fraud Department

  • Processing invoices and maintaining accurate claim records

Required knowledge and experience for the Third Party Claims Handler role:

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Experience in customer service or similar environment

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

  • Proficiency in time management and prioritisation

  • Computer literacy and ability to learn new systems quickly
