MERJE are partnered with an established Yorkshire based Financial Services organisation in their search for an Interim Supplier Relationship Manager.

This position is offered for a minimum of 3 months on a FTC or interim day rate basis – rates / salary negotiable.

What will you be doing:

Responsible for delivering and implementing supplier specific Vendor Management strategy, working closely with key stakeholders to provide support and training and driving implementation of 3rd Party Risk controls.

Role Specific Accountabilities:

•Maintain and develop positive and lasting relationships with suppliers in accordance with the Supply Chain Policy, with a focus on driving continual professional excellence and act as an escalation route and communication channel for colleagues and suppliers, ensuring all risks and concerns are addressed in a timely and collaborative fashion

•Create and own report schedules (exec forums, supplier reviews, risk forums and categorisation changes, focusing on SLA performance, cost and supplier reduction programmes, and continuous improvement)

•Ensure Accountable Executives and Relationship Managers are in place for all suppliers

•Owns the Vendor Management stakeholder training programme material, manages the stakeholder training programme schedule and carries out training sessions

•Define requirements, during contract phases, whilst continually evaluating whether the service/s continues to meet changing business requirements, and acting accordingly to refine, during the life of existing contracts

•To continually review the supply market and supplier advancements in technology, innovation, quality & service for business process improvements

•Lead engagement with related business areas such as Legal, Risk, Information Security and Audit - defining the scope of work to be conducted, identifying gaps, and ensuring actions are owned; effectively executed & significant events are appropriately escalated

•Educate colleagues on the processes and principles of effectively working with suppliers, in order to promote a collaborative culture, that advocates the use of supplier services

•Develop and maintain individual supplier strategies, through creating supplier objectives plans & monitoring progress against key business initiatives and directly own and manage relationships high risk suppliers including material outsourcing (SYSC8) suppliers
