​Our Client is a market-leading financial services business that are hiring an SMCR Officer to support senior management in discharging their accountabilities, ensuring all SM&CR related activity is carried out in accordance with FCA requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring the recruitment and onboarding process for identifying and managing certification roles is appropriate and operating compliantly.

• Support line managers with any queries around completing attestation and ongoing support for any concerns raised outside the annual assessment period.

• Responsible for overseeing / delivering the Certification Function leaver process and for the maintenance and timely upload of data onto the FCA directory.

• Oversight and internal reporting of conduct rule adherence, including training, liaising with the Risk and Compliance team on conduct rule breaches.

• Responsible for the compilation and delivery of the annual conduct rule breach reporting.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Strong experience of managing the SMCR process in a medium sized firm or overseeing it in a 2LOD capacity.

• Experience of using FCA Connect and knowledge of People & Risk disciplines, systems and controls.

• Expert in Inspirational Communication – You will need to communicate with a wide variety of teams on a complex subject matter in a clear and engaging way.
