Role Overview
Specialist lending business located in the west midlands are looking to hire an experienced third party / vendor management risk specialist to join a newly formed third party assurance risk function.
The role holder will conduct initial and ongoing risk assessments against third party and internal exit and contingency arrangements and plans. The role will also involve reviewing test plan strategies and effectiveness on a regular basis to verify the test assurance ratings and ensure they remain effective and compliant with regulations & industry best practice.
The company offer hybrid working, with the week split between the office and home. Company benefits are extensive and include annual bonus, 8% employer pension contribution, 28 days holiday, private medical plus many more.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Lead the development of, and take responsibility for the on-going maintenance of, procedures supporting the assessing and assurance activities of third party exit and contingency strategies & plans.
Be responsible for pre on-boarding due diligence and risk assessments for potential new third parties being selected by the business surrounding the exit considerations and contingency options.
Develop and deliver testing strategies to test contingency and exit plans for third party vendors and contribute to the reporting of progress and approval of the plans with the aim to mitigate identified risks and issues.
Assist with document testing strategies and playbooks to assess the effectives of plans and input into the overall rating of the approaches and plan effectiveness.
Prepare regular reporting and assurance reports and updates on the third-party control environment relating to exit and contingency assurance.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working in a Vendor Control or Risk Management environment
Previous experience in Third Party Risk Management (Contingency and Exit strategies and planning)
Experience of risk and control, supervision, quality assurance / control / Internal Audit / Compliance Monitoring processes
experience of carry out due diligence reviews and risk assessments
