Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk Management , as a dedicated Risk role with the objective of strengthening the governance relating to risk matters, this involves providing support in the operation of Business, Governance, Conduct and Operational Risk Management

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the identification, recording and reporting of risks
  • Develop and analyse trends across multiple Business Areas / Monitoring scope
  • Identify Risk themes within the Bank
  • Provide Business Areas with consultation / advice in relation to risks and controls
  • Provide clear / factual monitoring findings highlighting the key risks
  • Understand the Business area developments and make proposals for adapting Risk office practices to best meet the needs of the bank
  • Support the redesign / implement process to allow “bottom-up” risk identification
  • Promote risk management – regular catch ups with Senior Management team
  • Risk Management training / promotion
  • Assist with Pillar2A scenarios
  • Operational Risk – scenarios, methodology and calculation
  • Conduct Risk

The Person

  • Broad understanding of Risk from a wider range of Retail Banks / Retail Financial Services firms
  • Be able to deliver activities in an accurate, efficient and timely manner
  • Building relationships with key stakeholders – good effective business partnering skills
  • Develop understanding of all relevant business activities for the Business area / scope of monitoring review
  • Take ownership of any assigned initiatives, liaising with stakeholders to ensure all decisions satisfy risk appetites and managing controlled delivery
