This is a new role created to provide regulatory control and oversight to this fast growing and successful business.Working closely with multiple stakeholders to provide advice and guidance to enable the business to achieve the scale up plans with a robust risk and compliance framework.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Strong understanding of regulatory regimes and compliance.Maintaining a robust compliance framework and monitoring programme and producing the annual compliance report.

·         Remain abreast of relevant regulatory developments ensuring the Leadership Team are informed and issuing guidance as appropriate.Providing advice, and training if required.

·         Ensure a risk and regulatory culture continues to be aligned to business parameters to sustain commercial success and stability.Independently investigating and acting on matters related to compliance.

·         Responsible for risk management framework including managing and monitoring.Preparing and presenting compliance reports to the Board.Design, prepare and analyse management information related to risk management, TCF and Conduct Risk.

·         Ensure the effectiveness of the three lines of defence model on behalf of the wider Group.Co-ordinating internal compliance review and monitoring activities, including periodic reviews of departments.

·         Establish effective risk management practices across departments including those required to identify, monitor, control and/or mitigate risks arising out of the business’ activities in a pragmatic, commercial and aligned approach.

·         Ensure that the firm has appropriate Business Continuity Plans in place and oversee the testing of these plans at appropriate intervals.

·         Prepare and submit regulatory reporting and ensure the Group remains compliant with regulatory obligations including TCF, Conduct Risk and financial promotions.

·         Develop risk maps and action plans to help manage key risks and monitor the progress against these.Own the Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) process and document the risk appetite statement (RAS), reviewing with senior management risk tolerances.Review effectiveness of the risk management framework and risk controls on an annual basis.

·         With support from leadership team, maintain a risk register and ensure this is up to date, escalating risks to the relevant governance forum as appropriate.

·         If required, interacting with regulators on compliance issues.Coordinating efforts related to audits and reviews where or when required.

·         Manage ad-hoc risk or compliance projects as and when required.
