​This is a great opportunity to be involved with the pricing optimisation function of a well established and forward thinking insurer.

The day to day will look like this:

• Responsibility for the delivery of value adding Price Optimisations, including Monitoring the performance of Optimisation.

• Investigations of customers’ responses to price variations.

• Understanding and improving customer lifetime value outcomes

• Competitor Analysis and understanding Market activity

• Supporting on new deals, offers and product testing

• Fine tuning trading performance

• Representing pricing in trading committees through supporting to key stakeholders and being clear on P&L targets

• Peer review of own and others work, coaching & mentoring junior colleagues

• Data reconciliation & ensuring thorough process documentation

Ideally you will have:

• Data Science skills and experience of machine learning algorithms using open source statistical packages R and Python preferable

• Optimisation, Emblem & Radar or similar pricing software experience is desirable

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand impact of trading decisions

• Strong competency with SAS or SQL
