Senior Manager - Risk Events & Incident Management
Job Description
This UK Bank requires a strong Risk individual to Educate and influence COO leadership, management and suppliers on key Risk events and incident rapid response, evaluation, and resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- For risk events lead and for IT incidents oversight and challenge of problem management, read across to ensure reduction/elimination of repeat risk events and events caused by same theme.
Responsible for COO and COO Supplier risk event and incident reporting.
Oversight of small and large change release management impacting COO to reduce likelihood of risk events and incidents.
Oversight and challenge of 1 st, 2 nd ,3 rd LOD actions to reduce risk profile.
Ensure owners of 1 st, 2 nd ,3 rd LOD management actions (from audits, risk assurance reviews, control testing) meet deadlines and quality.
Manage a stakeholder network effectively to deliver results in a collaborative way, whilst maintaining the integrity of the overall function and COO.
Manage a Team of 5 direct reports.
Contribute to the leadership of the First Line Risk and Control Team.
Occasional UK travel and travel to South Africa required to meet key goals and objectives.
Key Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years Operations experience / 1st Line Risk experience
Minimum 3 years' experience working in a senior risk manager or equivalent role.
Proven track record in risk event and incident management
Proven track record of reducing risk events and incidents.
In depth knowledge and expertise of Risk Management within financial services.
In depth best practice knowledge of risk event and incident management.
