As part of the regional management team, the Senior Manager is responsible for the achievement of their individual office revenue targets whilst maintaining or improving profit margins contributing to the overall Company revenue and EBIT expectations.  This must be achieved by adhering to the groups Business Standards and Regulatory requirements, through a team of Private Client Advisers, Corporate Consultants and BMA Advisers where applicable.

Reporting to the Regional Manager as part of the regional management team the role holder will be responsible for the direct line management of a team of Private Client Advisers and Corporate Consultants where applicable.

Key responsibilities include:

  • To lead, manage, coach and develop the performance of teams within their management jurisdiction.
  • Implement effective training and development plans for all direct reports via an annual assessment and ongoing during the year

  • To ensure advisers continuously adhere Good Business Standards and that they achieve the minimum standards for business quality and where relevant approve all pre-sale recommendations for advisers under direct supervision
  • To be responsible for the ‘sign’ off of all high risk business which is determined by the Good Business Standards that requires SM approval, for example, insistent client and DBS transfers
  • To ensure that all Advisers/Consultants in their team are applying client proposition and rate card with all existing and new clients. To monitor segmentation of clients so that Advisers/Consultants stay within the prescribed household limit and segment their clients according to the agreed service levels.

The Person:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in managerial roles
  • Competent Adviser Status – Dip PFS and Diploma Level 4
  • JO7 or equivalent preferred. SM’s are expected to aspire to achieving this qualification
  • Previous experience of managing a team of financial advisers
