Fantastic financial services business managerial role with a focus on mortgage portfolios

 

Knowledge:

  • Thorough knowledge of credit risk within financial services.
  • An expert in the relevant regulations, including the EBA Capital Requirements Regulation, the Mortgage Credit Directive, FCA Mortgage Conduct of Business, GDPR and PRA Supervisory Statements.
  • Experience of working lending policies and the change management process for policy updates.
  • Working knowledge and understanding of other business areas (e.g. lending) and systems (e.g. application processing and customer management systems).
  • In-depth knowledge of different types of lending and the risk implications associated with them.
  • In depth knowledge of standard and advanced analytical techniques and software.

Experience/Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft office software (in particular Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
  • Experience in SAS programming or other analytical software.
  • Experience in the use of data extracts and reporting software (e.g. SQL, Oracle, Cognos).
  • Exposure to a variety of analytical techniques, including credit risk modelling, decision trees (e.g. CHAID), and clustering.
  • Exposure to modern analytical and reporting software (e.g. R, SAS VA, Tableau etc.)
  • Well organised, methodical, accurate, eye for detail.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and team management skills.
  • Demonstrates attention to detail while ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Able to exercise initiative and able to make timely and reasoned decisions.
  • Able to work with professionals at all levels.
  • Strong customer and results orientation; welcomes and encourages change.
  • Good communication skills; able to explain analysis in a business orientated manner to non-technical colleagues.
  • Able to articulate and explain, clearly and precisely analysis to a range of stakeholders, including the heads of Risk, Finance and Treasury.
  • Working actively, collaboratively and constructively with a range of stakeholders throughout the business, including Products and Proposition teams on the design, launch and monitoring of new lending products.
