This role would be an excellent opportunity for someone who has experience with collection strategy, data, analytics and is looking to follow a career path in Credit Risk.

The collections strategy team is responsible for optimising customer communication, collections and recoveries strategies - the successful candidate will own the operational delivery, analysis and continuous improvement of strategies, providing insights and recommendations to the wider team and senior management.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end management of collections strategies, pilots and champion challenges on a test-and-learn / continuous improvement basis.

• Ongoing reporting on the efficacy of existing strategies.

• Conduct statistical analysis, forecasting and data mining of various datasets to shape and guide decision-making across several strategic areas.

• Support other analytical teams in delivering data, models, analysis and insight which will be used to identify emerging threats, report on trends in high-risk segments, delivered in line with regulatory and industry requirements.

• Provide analytics into efficacy of fraud prevention and detection strategies.

• Monitor effectiveness of collections models.

• Input into the development of all new product, process and system redesigns to ensure that fraud is appropriately considered to the extent that it supports fraud analytics and insights.

• Work with other members of the credit risk team and business to ensure an effective “feedback loop” from learnings in-life to inform fraud prevention analysis.

• Providing analytical support to other analysts in the Credit Risk team.

• Ensuring that strategies enable ‘good customer outcomes’ and protect its customers from detriment.

• Work with other areas of the business to ensure strategies are implemented in a timely manner and communicated effectively, ensuring successful post-implementation monitoring.

• Ensuring that data and internal reporting is accurate and compliant.

• Assist in the delivery of effective governance framework.

• Adhering to FCA conduct rules.

Previous experience and qualifications:

• Proven experience of working with data, analytics and management reporting.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Proficient with Microsoft SQL.

• 3+ years’ experience of Collections and Collection Strategy

• Legal and regulatory understanding of collections within consumer finance.

• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• Comfortable working with / presenting to senior managers.

• Good positive attitude to working with others.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills using logical reasoning.

• Ability to work face-to-face and in a virtually environment (via MS Teams, for example).
