Job Description:                               We are looking for an experienced leader from the Mortgages industry in compliance to lead the compliance team focus and priorities in this successful FinTech looking to become directly authorised and experience further growth in the short term to deliver great value online mortgages

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the senior management / exec on the compliance business plan
  • Managing and leading compliance activities across the business, maintaining a focus on key priorities to maintain the FCA expectations across the regulatory landscape
  • Leading on quality assurance, quality control, monitoring and reporting activity within the Advisory business
  • Managing the team and ensuring strong results delivered efficiently
  • Representing Compliance within the Group and externally as a key point of contact
  • Keeping up to date with UK legislation and regulation, codes of practice, industry guidelines and best practice to apply to the business
  • Leading oversight of financial promotions activity
  • Horizon scanning for awareness of changes happening in the business and how these will impact - ensuring the governance framework is robust enough to support this

  • Deep knowledge of mortgage advice, originating and operations processes
  • Proven experience of operating at a senior level in compliance within a regulated firm
  • A passion for customer excellence
  • A start up attitude and ability to get things done in a fast-growing organisation
  • A keen desire to build the company in a leading role, working alongside top management
  • Senior stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
