Our client is an established financial services organisation that are recruiting an individual to provide expert regulatory advice and guidance to the first line of defence. You will be involved in all the changes required to prepare for regulation and make sure any rule changes are quickly embedded into both the controls and processes of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

•Provide independent second line of defence advice to the business to support safe and compliant growth.

•Work with the advisory team to maintain the regulatory risk framework and inform the compliance monitoring plan.

•Responsible for regular horizon scanning to ensure that the first line of defence is aware of all relevant regulatory requirements.

•Engage with trade associations, such as UK Finance, and provide feedback from meetings.

The Ideal Candidate:

•Significant experience working in complex areas of compliance within an FCA regulated environment.

•Excellent communication skills, with a talent for building strong relationships and the ability to influence and challenge in the right way when needed.
