​​​​A newly created exciting career opportunity for a strong Compliance Manager to join this entrepreneurial customer focused business. This firm is a direct lender offering affordable loans to fit any credit situation (FCA regulated).

Key responsibilities:

• Supporting the Compliance function to define policy and ensure robust implementation of a comprehensive compliance risk framework

• Providing compliance advisory support and technical expertise to robustly manage all compliance risks across the business

• Developing and maintaining compliance related policies and procedures

• Act as a source of professional and technical expertise to evaluate, review, investigate, challenge & mitigate the potential for customer and regulatory risk. Contribute compliance expertise in business and regulatory change projects

• Executing a risk-based compliance monitoring programme, identifying, assessing, monitoring, and reporting all material compliance risks

• Undertake an annual compliance risk assessment, propose, and gain approval for the annual compliance monitoring plan

• Manage the development and delivery of compliance training to the business

• Support broader enterprise- wide risk framework development initiatives (e.g., Operational Risk & Cyber, Data Protection)

Skills and Experience needed:

• Compliance and risk knowledge and experience across consumer products building and executing compliance frameworks and compliance monitoring (CONC)

• Ability to undertake risk, compliance, and control activities in a complex financial operation

• A skilled communicator with the ability to influence and motivate others

• Problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to analyse complex information to identify the key issue/action and drive resolution

• Highly developed communication and influencing skills with ability to build relationships across the organisation at all levels

• Broad and pragmatic thinker, capable of quickly interpreting information and presenting arguments in a clear and reasoned way

• Thorough and accurate, capable of identifying the key issues without getting lost in detail

• Process driven ability to establish and follow new processes

• Ability to challenge constructively and enforce appropriate boundaries

• Accountable for own decisions and actions whilst respectful of the professional responsibilities of other
