​As Senior Regulatory Development Executive, you work as part of the Compliance Advisory Team to facilitate the business remaining compliant with relevant regulations, FCA rules and guidance. You are accountable for ensuring relevant regulatory developments are effectively analysed, reported on and disseminated within the business.

You perform horizon scanning activities and build effective working relationships with internal / external stakeholders and are involved in identifying, tracking and advising on existing/new regulatory developments, including assessing impact, communicating and advising on changes to the business.

Key responsibilities include:

• Working alongside colleagues across the business to provide ongoing advice and guidance on regulatory requirements and assisting the business in raising operational and service standards through the identification and recommendation of best practices.

• Building effective working relationships with operational areas in order to maximise understanding of and compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Driving own self-development and managing own performance to meet personal & team objectives: undertaking training and development as required to maximise coverage of monitoring disciplines that the team cover.

• Supporting the Head of Compliance to maximise internal stakeholder engagement with the monthly Regulatory Development committee, ensuring the right operational areas are represented and supported in taking actions forward

• Supporting clients and demonstrating the company’s capability by raising awareness of regulatory change through the compliance bulletin and regulatory alert process

• Analysing relevant regulatory publications and other market initiatives in order to ensure company practices and processes are not exposed to regulatory weaknesses or sanction.

• Continually monitoring and interpreting legislation, regulations, rules and guidance and provide updates to relevant company personnel and committees.

• Producing a monthly compliance bulletin to raise awareness of regulatory matters, government strategies and governing body proposals.

The Person:

• CeMap qualified or equivalent

• Working in a financial services’ regulatory environment (3+ years)

• Applying regulation into day to day operational practice and driving appropriate change

• Detailed knowledge of the financial services market, financial products and associated regulation of the industry.

• Detailed knowledge of FCA, CCA, DPA rules and guidance and FCA complaints process (DISP)
