Our Client is rapidly growing Insurance business who are looking to expand their team and are recruiting a Risk Officer to play a crucial part in their organisation. You will join the Compliance and Risk team in developing and managing a risk management programme across all group companies, ensuring efficient operational governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
You will collaborate with the Group business areas and functional stakeholders whilst:
Identifying and analysing any risks in the Group’s operations, claims, and the controls.
Developing a risk management programme, to ensure that projects, monitoring activities and relevant stakeholders focus on key risks and controls.
Lead on the development of and manage the risk management framework across all business functions.
Develop and maintain effective business continuity and disaster recovery plans, liaising with relevant business functions.
Design and implement MI and reporting to monitor risks and performance against risk appetite.
Be a key point of contact for the business to support their strategies and be an active member of key meetings and forums where risk is part of the communication and delivery for the business.
Lead on the implementation of the Issues/Risks Database for control/risk issue resolution.
The ideal Candidate:
- Significant risk experience, preferably within the insurance industry.
- Experience is risk assessments, identifying and quantifying risks, testing risk controls.
Function independently, on own initiative taking ownership and ensuring implementation of risk projects and policies
