Job Description:  The Risk Manager will be responsible for implementing the company risk management policy and operationalising the process to ensure robust management of risks associated with its external partners.

 

This role reports to the Risk & Compliance Director and is new to the company, forming part of the continued transformation of the company compliance and risk management strategy relating to oversight of retailers.

 

The role will involve taking responsibility for the following:

Interrogate data and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to identify risks and negative trends in external partner behaviours.

Review company financial information and accounts relating to external partners and provide practical guidance to the senior management team on their financial performance.

Ensure risks are identified, owned, measured, monitored, managed, and reported in line with the company risk management framework so they can be managed within an acceptable appetite and in an efficient manner to enable informed decisions to be taken to manage threats to the business.

Aggregate risk-related information to ensure the senior management team is aware of current trends in risk exposure so that informed action can be taken.

Measure, evaluate and report risk exposures including monitoring the key risk indicators.

Act as the main point of contact for relationships with external stakeholders, including both retailers and lenders, acting as an ambassador for the company.

Work in partnership with the Risk & Compliance Director to develop an appropriate third-party risk management framework and governance for oversight of retailers.

Play a key role in the new business onboarding process by assessing the financial health of potential new partners and making recommendations to the senior management team.

Key Requirements:

      Ability to review and interpret company financial information, spot trends or concerns, and provide guidance to the senior management on the level of perceived risk.

Demonstrable track record in delivering results and using knowledge of third-party risk management or similar operational/ credit risk
