Our client is a highly successful financial services firm that are hiring an individual to provide oversight and challenge the 1st line of defence within the business. As Risk Manager you will support the adherence and embedding of the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management framework and work closely with the senior leadership team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the designated Risk Partner on overseeing risk events and incidents raised across the business.

• Take responsibility for the review and oversight of UK policy and procedures so that they are adequate and fit for purpose.

• Facilitate, support and oversee the Risk Control Self-Assessment – Ensuring that risks captured are adequately controlled and actions are managed through appropriate governance and risk appetite.

• Monitor for emerging risks and external events which are relevant to UK Business operational risk profile, recording and analysing as appropriate.

• Support analysis of all Risk MI including root cause effects.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Experience developing an operational risk framework and in-depth understanding of regulatory requirements, industry practices in an FCA regulated environment.

• You will also have excellent problem-solving skills and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
