Role Overview
Well known consultancy firm operating within the Insurance sector are looking to hire a Risk & Compliance Manager to join an established team on an initial 12-month fixed term contract. The firm offer great flexibility with the working week split between the office and working from home. Ideally the successful applicant will be located within the Midlands, Wales, or Norfolk, with the ability to travel locally. With the firm having multiple office locations, applicants are welcome from other parts of the country.
Responsibilities
Monitor and challenge the implementation and embedding of the Risk Management Policy and Framework, including the identification, monitoring, and reporting of risks and related controls.
Monitor and challenge the implementation and embedding of the Conduct Risk Framework and Group Policies.
Provide advice and guidance on a range of the regulatory requirements.
Provide support and challenge for all risk and regulatory compliance issues.
Analyse and report on Conduct MI to senior stakeholders to address risk and compliance issues.
Monitor and challenge relevant firms to ensure that all breaches are identified, handled, and recorded effectively. Also, that root cause analysis is carried out and appropriate actions taken.
Assist the Compliance Monitoring team and Internal Audit function or co-source partners with any reviews.
Assist with the implementation of regulatory change, including ensuring teammates are provided with guidance on the application of relevant laws, regulations, and standards.
Experience Required
Compliance and / or Risk experience gained within an FCA regulated environment.
Knowledge of the insurance sector and associated regulatory rulebooks.
Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior management / stakeholders.
