​The Advisory Services Director is responsible for leading the Advisory Services (AS) team and is responsible for business development in line with the business plan and oversight of client delivery, ensuring client expectations are exceeded by enhancing and maintaining excellent standards.

The role holder will play an active part in the senior management team, providing insight, knowledge and experience enabling the business to leverage relationships, present greater cross-sell opportunities and promote more collaborative working between business units.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and implement the business plan for the AS business, in line with strategic objectives, specifically the provision of market leading solutions to address governance, risk management, operational and compliance requirements across different sectors.

• Lead the specialist team in the provision of consultancy services across a spectrum of UK business sectors including financial services, utilities.

• Take responsibility for the leadership, management, support and development of the AS team.

• Be accountable for the quality of proposals and client delivery

• Set standards for the AS team on risk management, cost control and resource utilisation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

• Knowledge and experience in Retail Conduct Risk related issues.

• Comprehensive understanding of the FCA, including both current and emerging issues affecting firms, and its approach to supervision.

• Experience of leading consultancy teams who undertake the review, recommendation and implementation of operational improvement programmes.

• Strong stakeholder relationships across firms and sectors.

• A strong track record of managing consulting teams and consulting projects ensuring that direct reports work in a collaborative manner.

• Experience of selling consulting services and achieving sales targets.

• Experience of dealing at a senior level (Director, Partner, CEO) to form strong relationships and facilitate the winning of consulting projects.

• Broad knowledge of UK Retail Financial Services and other sectors as appropriate, including regulation, industry trends and market and competitor activity.

• Excellent communicator with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong project management and organisational skills.
