Resilience Risk Specialist - Operational Resilience and Technology:

An exciting opportunity for a Resilience Risk Specialist to become a part of the second line of defence risk team specialising in Operational Resilience and Technology for a leading and well established commercial bank in London. 

The Resilience Risk Specialist  will play a substantial role in the second line of defense risk team in proving oversight and supporting the first line in management of risk that the bank faces in line with business activity. 

Key Responsibilities of the Resilience Risk Specialist:

  • Assess and challenge the effectiveness of data protection systems and controls

  • Supporting the oversight on operational activities as they relate to operational resilience and business continuity. 

  • Maintain robust records of the risk framework, controls, and monitoring results

  • Provide analysis and oversight on data risks and governance

  • Support risk and control process assessments, incident management, and regulatory reporting

  • Promote risk awareness and effective risk management culture

Required knowledge and experience for the Resilience Risk Specialist - Technology and Operational Resilience role:

  • A strong track record of risk and control experience within a Financial Services, coupled with expert knowledge of Operational Resilience

  • Knowledge of data protection laws and practices including understanding of GDPR

  • Good understanding of operational resilience frameworks, regulation and standards eg ISO 22301, FCA/PRA/BOE operational resilience guidelines, ORIC, DORA etc.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills and assimilate information rapidly.

  • Ability to break down complex problems in a clear and understandable way that enables you to provide stakeholders with clear and concise recommendations and reports
