Job Description:

This company is seeking a Prudential Risk Oversight Manager to develop a single Prudential Risk oversight plan and lead the Prudential Risk Monitoring team to deliver the planned monitoring activity. The oversight plan will cover Market Risk, Treasury Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Business Risk (inc. Capital Risk), Credit Risk and Financial Sustainability Risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development of a single Prudential Risk oversight plan.

Deliver the monitoring reviews included on the Prudential Risk Oversight plan in line with agreed timescales.

Ensure that reporting is articulated in a clear and concise manner.

Manage and develop the 5 direct reports within the thematic monitoring team.

Manage the monitoring team resource to support changing priorities of Prudential Risk Business Partners.

Accountable for the management of the action tracking process and monitoring of any remedial actions identified within monitoring reviews to see through to completion and evidence closure validation.

Ensure a robust process is designed and implemented to track and monitor Prudential Risk regulatory compliance.

Manage the co-ordination of the risk horizon scanning process to ensure emerging risks are identified, assessed, and tracked through to resolution/completion.

Requirements:

Experience in the Banking Sector and good understanding of key operations.

Experience in conducting audit/compliance reviews.

Experience of oversight in at least one of the following risk areas; Market Risk, Funding & Liquidity Risk, Treasury Risk, Credit Risk or Capital Risk.

Excellent communication skills, in particular in translating technical concepts and facts into clear understandable written reports for commercial and operational colleagues.

Experience of leading a small specialist team and proven track record to lead and motivate colleagues.

Ability to recognise/nurture potential in others to develop a highly capable and effective oversight team.

Good awareness and understanding of the relevant regulatory environment relating to Prudential Risk (desirable).
