The Client

Our client provides global payment services through its global network and digital solutions. With over 250,000 pickup locations, and a global team of 1000 people that currently support 15 million (and growing) worldwide transactions each year.

Purpose of role:

To deliver complex projects aligned to the groups long-term strategic vision, using the agreed governance framework. You will work with project teams and stakeholders (both internal and external) as per the project demand.

Role details:

● Deliver complex to achieve the company's long-term objectives. This will include liaising with Global teams within the business, including IT & Digital functions.

● Complete monthly project status reviews, including escalating decisions or risks for leadership attention.

● Act as a Change Management ambassador. Supporting people in the business with Governance Framework and driving good practice.

● Contribute to the ongoing governance framework development, identifying ways to improve the way we work.

● Support stakeholders in capturing requirements and defining scope. Ensuring that through all stages of the project the scope is correctly managed and adhered to.

● Develop the Project Business Case with the Project Champion. Ensuring consideration is given to benefits and cost of delivery.

● Being clear on project roles and responsibilities for the successful delivery of workstream(s)

● Work with your finance business partner to ensure financials are tracked. Identifying changes outside of tolerance and escalating these to leadership.

● Facilitate weekly project level meetings with your business leads, track actions and progress vs plan.

● Work with business leads to develop a detailed project plan, which you will then use to track progress. When slippage is identified you will address this with the relevant stakeholders and coordinate mitigation activities.

● Manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project.

● Manage project quality assurance activities.

● Ensure Change Requests are documented and approved in accordance with the Governance Framework.

● Manage resource plan(s), mitigating any potential resource conflicts including third-party vendors. Escalate any personnel issues to upper management in a timely fashion

● Monitor project risks/issues, ensuring these are captured in the central tracker. Ensure mitigation plans are in place and have assigned owners.

● Obtain final project acceptance

● Plan Business Readiness of delivery, including consideration for the Target Operating Model upon Project Completion.

● Work with Project Champion and Exec Owner to ensure owners for benefits realization are in place post project closure, where applicable.

● Formally close projects or change requests, according to the governance framework.

Person Specification

● Ability to coach and support junior members of the team.

● Demonstrable leadership skills, a strong delivery focus, and a willingness to confront issues, and find solutions

● Actively enjoys working with people from different cultures and languages

● A self-starter, who works well independently and gets things done, completer finisher

● Collaborative in approach, who engages with peers, and others alike.

● Proactive in identifying and resolving issues.

● Fluency in English is essential. Ability to speak a second language would be advantageous.

Skills

● 3+ years of Project Management experience. Project Management or Scrum Professional Qualification(s).

● Experience in payment processing or financial services is desirable.

● Proven ability to perform effectively in delivering complex projects. Experience in IT delivery and new product launches.

● Experience in delivering projects across different teams working to a mix of Agile Scrum, Iterative, and Waterfall methodologies

● Proficient in MS Excel (or similar) and collaboration tools such as JIRA or Monday

● Analytical, good problem-solver, and strong critical thinking skills

● Ability to chair meetings with multiple stakeholders, ensuring all parties have an opportunity to provide input and feel their contribution is valued. This includes meetings held remotely.

● Able to effectively articulate and present technical / process information and risks to non-technical users and business sponsors

● Enjoys building positive relationships with users, key business stakeholders, and IT teams

● Ability to update senior stakeholders, adapting presentations to the correct level of detail.
